Pick a tiny paid outcome

A first digital product should solve a narrow job: a checklist, template, tracker, worksheet, or short operating guide. The product should help a buyer finish something specific.

Avoid broad products like "complete online business course". Start with something a customer can understand in ten seconds.

Validate before polishing

Write the promise, list what is included, and ask ten people in the target audience whether they would use it. Look for specific objections and confusing language.

If people ask for examples, templates, or a done-for-you version, that is useful demand signal. If nobody understands the promise, rewrite before building.

Launch with a simple checkout

Create the product files, upload them to Gumroad or attach delivery through your chosen checkout tool, and publish a clear product page.

Your first traffic can come from helpful comparison content, small communities where promotion is allowed, search-friendly guides, and direct outreach.
