Software License Terms

Version 1.0 overview

This page summarizes the intended license model. The license presented with the software or commercial order controls if there is a conflict.

Evaluation

An approved evaluation permits use of IX CAN Tool for 30 days on the authorized machine for internal assessment. Evaluation access may not be resold, shared, bypassed, or used to provide a commercial hosted service.

Commercial license

A commercial license is machine-bound unless an order states otherwise. It permits the licensed user or organization to operate the supplied version for its internal automotive engineering work. Redistribution, sublicensing, reverse engineering, and removal of licensing controls are prohibited except where applicable law does not permit that restriction.

Updates and support

The included version, update eligibility, activation allowance, and support scope are defined in the order or license delivery. Hardware adapters, drivers, operating systems, and third-party databases are not included unless explicitly stated.

Safety and responsibility

The software can transmit network and diagnostic messages. Incorrect configuration or commands may cause unexpected behavior, malfunction, damage, or injury. Use it only on systems you are authorized to test, with appropriate isolation, supervision, and recovery measures.
